Report

Report - Styrian mobility industry is an innovation leader.
The significance of innovations and their translation to a competitive advantage were discussed by leading heads of Styrian mobility industry on Thursday evening.

The event in the skyroom of the Styria Media Center had a symbolic power: It was not by coincidence that the elevator took the guests from Styrian mobility industry to the 14th floor - for as the R&D quota amounts to more than twelve per cent, the Styrian mobility companies are moving at lofty heights even on an international scale. The way to extend this innovative edge even more and the role played by fostering and promoting creativeness within a company were discussed at the INNOlounge, which already was the sixth one, after keynote speeches held by Jost Bernasch (Virtual Vehicle), Stephan Witzel (Uni for Life) and Andreas Falk (BioNanoNet).

In small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, there still is a great potential. Thanks to a specific funding programme offered by ACstyria, (which is supported by SFG (Steirische Förderungsgesellschaft - Styrian Business Promotion Agency) and ERDF (European Regional Development Fund)), up to 75 per cent of the innovation costs can be subsidised: from idea generation via digitisation projects to marketing innovation. Companies interested are invited to directly contact ACstyria.
